1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Coptic Companion ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Coptic Companion is a mobile application that provides access to Coptic Orthodox prayers, liturgical texts, hymns, audio recordings, and educational content. The app is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Content

The liturgical texts, prayers, and religious content provided in the app are based on the traditions of the Coptic Orthodox Church. While we strive for accuracy, the app should be used as a supplementary resource alongside official church publications.

Audio recordings are sourced from publicly available archives (including St-Takla.org)
Wiki articles are for educational purposes and do not constitute official church teaching
Translations are provided for accessibility and may not be authoritative liturgical translations

4. User Accounts

Creating an account is optional. If you choose to create an account:

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
You agree to provide accurate information
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
Redistribute or commercially exploit the app's content without permission
Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality

6. Intellectual Property

The app design, code, and original content are the property of Coptic Companion. Liturgical texts and prayers belong to the Coptic Orthodox Church tradition and are shared for worship and educational purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Use the app at your own discretion.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coptic Companion shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

1. Aanvaarding van voorwaarden

Door Coptic Companion ("de app") te downloaden, installeren of gebruiken, stemt u in met deze Gebruiksvoorwaarden. Als u niet akkoord gaat met deze voorwaarden, gebruik de app dan niet.

2. Beschrijving van de dienst

Coptic Companion is een mobiele applicatie die toegang biedt tot Koptisch-Orthodoxe gebeden, liturgische teksten, hymnen, audio-opnamen en educatieve inhoud. De app wordt gratis aangeboden voor persoonlijk, niet-commercieel gebruik.

3. Inhoud

De liturgische teksten, gebeden en religieuze inhoud in de app zijn gebaseerd op de tradities van de Koptisch-Orthodoxe Kerk. Hoewel we streven naar nauwkeurigheid, dient de app als aanvullend hulpmiddel naast officiële kerkelijke publicaties.

Audio-opnamen zijn afkomstig van openbaar beschikbare archieven (waaronder St-Takla.org)
Wiki-artikelen zijn voor educatieve doeleinden en vormen geen officiële kerkelijke leer
Vertalingen worden aangeboden voor toegankelijkheid en zijn mogelijk geen gezaghebbende liturgische vertalingen

4. Gebruikersaccounts

Het aanmaken van een account is optioneel. Als u ervoor kiest een account aan te maken:

Bent u verantwoordelijk voor het vertrouwelijk houden van uw account
Stemt u ermee in correcte informatie te verstrekken
Kunt u uw account op elk moment verwijderen via de app-instellingen

5. Aanvaardbaar gebruik

U stemt ermee in om niet:

De app te gebruiken voor onwettige doeleinden
Te proberen de broncode van de app te reverse-engineeren, decompileren of extraheren
De inhoud van de app te herverdelen of commercieel te exploiteren zonder toestemming
De functionaliteit van de app te verstoren

6. Intellectueel eigendom

Het app-ontwerp, de code en originele inhoud zijn eigendom van Coptic Companion. Liturgische teksten en gebeden behoren tot de Koptisch-Orthodoxe Kerktraditie en worden gedeeld voor eredienst- en educatieve doeleinden.

7. Afwijzing van garanties

De app wordt aangeboden "zoals deze is" zonder enige garantie. Wij garanderen niet dat de app foutloos, ononderbroken of vrij van schadelijke componenten zal zijn. Gebruik de app naar eigen inzicht.

8. Beperking van aansprakelijkheid

Voor zover wettelijk toegestaan is Coptic Companion niet aansprakelijk voor indirecte, incidentele of gevolgschade voortvloeiend uit uw gebruik van de app.

9. Wijzigingen in voorwaarden

Wij behouden ons het recht voor deze voorwaarden op elk moment te wijzigen. Voortgezet gebruik van de app na wijzigingen houdt aanvaarding van de nieuwe voorwaarden in.
